Emma has Pneumonia!

Emma has had a bad cough for several days, and finally today I took her to the doctor. They did a chest x-ray and said she has pneumonia in one lung! She's on an antibiotic and some heavy duty cough suppressant, and she gets to stay home from school this week!!! She's pretty upbeat, but just exhausted. If you want to send her a get-well card, our address is 8105 SW 27th St, Lincoln, NE 68523.

Andrea's Birthday

We went out to eat last night with our best friends, Ted & Andrea, to celebrate Andrea's 31st birthday. Then we came back to our house and played "What's yours like?" - which we would recommend, by the way!! Very fun game.
And no more sling!!!

Another doctor's visit!

So when we were at Cici's for Emma's birthday party last week, I hit my elbow on the metal chair sitting next to me. No big deal, right? But it didn't stop hurting, and by Tuesday I couldn't cut my food, or brush my teeth, or even straighten my hair (!!). So I went to the doctor AGAIN on Wednesday, and after x-rays, he said I had a compression fracture. As thrilled as I was to have something wrong with me that was actually SOMETHING, it hasn't been fun to wear the sling. But the girls decorated it with puff paint, and I still got to go to the Women's Retreat with Mom this weekend, and Jamie has to do the dishes!!! Silver linings.
p.s. Jamie had to put my hair up before this picture, and I had to do my makeup with my left hand, so that's my excuse.
